Make it happen ethically.
Help us with our campaign to build a MOSC. The Maroof Institute is working towards establishing a Muslim community space and home for a Maroof One Stop Centre (MOSC). This space shall be dedicated to worship, support, education, skills and faith-based ethical living. While some of our programs and resources can already be delivered online, or on a limited scale, expanding our full range of services will require a dedicated physical centre. The MOSC initiative Africa shall inshaAllah support a Masjid, women and children’s shelter, a school and general community development. See blog post to read more.
Our projects also include supporting the needy, and poorest of the poor with food, clothing, and mosquito nets. We are actively seeking new friends and partners to expand the scope and reach of our projects and Tableegh (dawah). Together we can help to transform lives, and/or living standards, of the marginalised and vulnerable in local communities.
If you would like to support this vision you can make a contribution, fundraise, or sign up as a volunteer support assistant/charity worker. Every form of support will be used to administer, develop, and deliver our charitable projects and programs. Your support shall bring us one-step closer to serving the communities for generations to come inshaAllah.
Except for administrative overheads; our operational blueprint incurs very low operating expenses, with nearly all finances providing the aid it was initially raised for. Our goal is not simply to minimise costs, but to ensure that resources are used wisely, transparently and where they can contribute most effectively to our charitable objectives. Your donations are used for the materials, labour and essential costs directly associated with the delivering of that project. We seek to provide updates for projects and programs, often including photos and completion reports, on our website and social media, ensuring you see the tangible, real-world impact of your donation/s.
We value your contribution, and your generosity means a great deal to us.
Kind regards,
Team Maroof

For transparency purposes; we ask that you contact us via email to make a donation. Your donations are not tax deductible, Gift Aid currently unavailable.
Donations
- For transparency, our records, and in order for us to keep track of funds, use a donation reference when emailing.
- The donation reference is your name, the amount/service/goods or time being donated, and the fund/appeal you’re donating towards.
- Where no restriction, or no specific area/fund, is mentioned the donation can be used for any fund/area advertised on this page and our services page.
- Your donation can be made as a one-off/random donation amount/s or monthly recurring donations via standing order.
- Our site is https encrypted which makes donating online safer. This option is currently unavailable.
- We shall acknowledge each of your donations with a confirmation/receipt of donation.
- Material and financial donations are often distributed to the target/impact area/s as soon as they are received, unless the amount needed has not yet reached it’s target. In either case we shall publish information about the distribution of funds on our website, or via a post on our social media.
- We accept ‘In-kind donations’ such as inventory, office supplies, books, and furniture, or other non-monetary donations.
- Because transporting items to Africa can often be extremely difficult and expensive, we purchase most of our materials and supplies locally. However, if you have something you’d like to donate, that you think will benefit our work, please email us so we can talk more about it.
- Other types of acceptable donations are ‘Pro-bono services’ such as legal, financial/accounting, marketing, or other skills. Volunteering your time for events, educational and welfare programs, workshops, maintenance etc are also valid forms of donation support.
